Two of my artistic interests include:

  • • Multi-disciplinary artistic collaboration and
  • • Community arts projects.

To learn more about my background in these areas, take a look at my resume. I have done work involving

I am passionate about bringing poetry into community and making it more accessible by exploring the boundaries between poetry and theatre, music or visual art.

Experimenting and collaborating with other artists enriches my work. I have written poems in response to visual art, co-produced a poetry CD with music and sound effects, and directed theatrical productions of poetry and short fiction.

Using art to help heal, educate and promote cultural understanding in community deepens my understanding of what it is to be human. I have had the privilege of facilitating the creative expression of cancer patients and teaching poetry workshops to at-risk Latina teens.

I also enjoy contributing to the cultural enrichment of my community. During the few years I have called Portland, Oregon home, I have had the pleasure of founding and directing a Latino performance poetry series, promoting a Crypto-Jewish lecture series, and co-producing an international poetry and performing arts series.

If you're interested in collaborating on an artistic or community project in the Pacific Northwest, I invite you to contact me.
